Principal's Message
I consider it a privilege and honor to be a Principal of RIMS- Faculty of Nursing, Krishnagiri. RIMS offers a 4 year graduate program in Basic B.Sc.
Nursing, according to me, is a unique profession which has a blend of Cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. Nursing education empowers one to lift oneself from darkness to light. I feel that education should not be confined only to books, but empower oneself to explore various avenues.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to RIMS – Faculty of Nursing, an institution that was started with the noble mission of alleviating the pain of the sick and needy. Our aim is excellence in the field of nursing education and practice, continuously working towards raising the bar for students of the nursing profession, such that our students can face the challenging demands of the health care sector.
Our college has outstanding infrastructure, well experienced teaching faculty and follow innovative methods of teaching to convey the importance of the course that the students have embarked upon. We give high importance to keeping our faculty updated on the best practices and latest techniques in training delivery.
The training focuses on preparation, presentation and continuous performance and evaluation of the students. The outcome of the training has been that both the Lecturers and students enjoy the study process and students retained the information better. We also make sure that the student’s all round development as an intelligent, alert member of society, is nourished. We provide stadium of extracurricular activities which brings out the best in the student.
The students who join the institute are young with creative minds and ideas of their own. Each of them has innate abilities and their own strengths. As a facilitators, mentors, and educators, it is our bound duty to tap their interest and to build and inculcate the right values amongst them. The focus of the institute is to develop the personality of the student and to prepare nurses with right knowledge, kind and proper attitude.
